The Dynarex Obstetrical Kit is a full emergency response kit used by paramedics and first responders when handling a situation that involves childbirth. Some situations may be more unexpected than others, but in all situations, the right tools are critical.

The Boxed Kit (Dynarex 4901) is a boxed option similar to the Bagged Kit (Dynarex 4902). They both offer the same materials and quantities. A boxed kit is convenient for stacking and keeping items in an organized order while the bag option can be used in more compact areas where space is scarce, such as in ambulances, fire trucks, and helicopters. With a fully stocked bag or box, you have an arsenal of tools at your disposal to aid in obstetrical procedures.

The kits are designed to be fully disposed of after single use -- even the scalpel and umbilical clamps can be discarded into a sharps container such as the Covidien 8 Quart Red Sharps-a-Gator Sharps Container. The tools used for cutting, such as the scalpel and umbilical clamp, and even the pad, are provided in a sterile manner to keep infectious bacteria and viruses from complicating the sensitive procedure of childbirth.

Once the procedure has been completed, the kit also provides equipment such as gauze sponges, a plastic bag (to hold placenta), and disposable towels for cleaning off the mother and the newborn. You have a complete kit available for you to proceed as needed, offering the assurance of knowing you are prepared for any situation.
