It is comfortable, therapeutic, and meant to prevent health issues, namely bed sores, for those who need to spend most of their time lying down.

This mattress is gel-infused and channels heat from the body to keep the body cool and dry. This is ideal for preventing pressure sores. Down at the foot of the mattress is a Lura-Quilt foam section that has a 25-degree heel slope. The slope will take the pressure away from the heels and distribute it along the full length of the leg to prevent pressure points and eventual skin irritation.

This mattress is unique among foam mattresses and will provide more support and less cradling at high levels of compression. It will distribute pressure over a larger surface area and will help prevent discomfort in areas that typically get sore and irritated over time.

The four-layered foam is enveloped in a two-way stretch fabric that has two distinct top and bottom surfaces. The top fabric will reduce heat buildup and provide a low-shear surface that is anti-microbial and waterproof. The bottom layer is made entirely of vinyl and is fully waterproof and stain-resistant. The zipper on this mattress cover is concealed and has a flap that goes over the opening to prevent liquids from getting inside the mattress core.

The mattress meets Federal Fire Code CFR 16 part 1633. The mattress has a 300-pound weight capacity.
