Malem Wireless Bedwetting Alarm allows positioning the alert receiver up to 50 feet away, warning parents or caregivers of the impending bedwetting accident. This bedwetting alarm system works in the following manner: A small moisture sensor is attached to the outside of the child’s briefs. This sensor is connected to a transmitter that is attached to the waistband of the child’s briefs. A wireless signal is transmitted upon detection of moisture to the receiver unit positioned nearby the parents or caregivers.
When the bedwetting alarm receiver is triggered by wetness, it continues to sound until the reset button is pushed. This helps insure that you and your child wake up to the alarm. It also helps to ensure that the child gets out of bed to turn the alarm off and goes to the bathroom. A volume control dial on the receiver allows the user to control the level of sound to meet the needs of the family. The alarm can be programmed to sound randomly 8 different tones or sound a specific tone among the 8 provided.
The Wireless Bedwetting Alarm can be used with any of your child’s own underwear. The sensor detects the first few drops of moisture and provides warning of the impending accident. With the Wireless Bedwetting Alarm, the family can choose the best location for the receiver to meet their needs. The small battery operated alarm unit can be placed as close as a bedside table or as far away as across the room. The alarm must be placed in a location where the child can hear it in order to learn the behavior of getting up independently to the alarm, and ultimately to a full bladder. It should be placed far enough from the bed, so the child cannot reach over and turn the receiver off without getting out of bed. Parental involvement is important initially, so that your child learns the proper response to the alarm sound. The alarm sensor is easy to clean with soapy water and small toothbrush every few days to remove urine residue.
