Genius 2 Tympanic Thermometer Probe Covers, formerly known as Covidien 303030 are disposable, single-use probe covers to be applied to an ear canal thermometer to prevent cross-contamination and the spread of infectious diseases between patients. This adds protection but assists in a faster turn-around in between patients. The Genius 2 Tympanic Thermometer stores probe covers to allow for easy application in between patient visits. Prior to application, inspect the probe cover to ensure it is uniform and void of holes. After patient temperature is obtained, the probe cover is removed by pressing the eject button and can go directly into a wastebasket.
