It is lighter
This wheelchair is lighter than what we could get from the *(&^&^*((&%$% DME through insurance, so we purchased it ourselves. It is lighter. But still hard for me to load into rear of our car. You can't lift it by the arms because they slip out. If you pick it up by the wheels, then the whole thing spins. Finally someone suggested locking the wheels first and this helps. (DUH). Adjusting the height and foot rests and all that we got our son to do and it wasn't too hard. Seems like a good product, so far. We've only had it one and half week.

Versatile light weight
My wife is unable to stand unaided, yet she can load this chair in the back of her Mazda5 hatchback by sitting in the van and lifting the chair inside. The big wheels pop off easily, and the back can be folded down for reducted height so that the chair vcan be loaded staright in our Mazda. This chair is an excellant value for the money - buy it.
