DeVilbiss Healthcare was founded in 1888 as DeVilbiss Manufacturing by Dr. Allen DeVilbiss, a country doctor. Dr. DeVilbiss developed an atomizer, which made it possible to spray medication in a patient’s nose or throat and eliminated the necessity for unpleasant and inefficient swabbing. Today, DeVilbiss Healthcare is a global manufacturer and distributor of Respiratory Therapy products and has established a reputation for excellence.
DeVilbiss develops and manufactures respiratory products for the Oxygen and Aerosol Therapy markets, as well as designing and manufacturing innovative products for the Sleep Therapy. DeVilbiss manufactures two very popular Oxygen Concentrators. One is a Home Oxygen Concentrator that is compact and provides 5 Liters of oxygen output and the other is a Portable Oxygen Concentrator called the iGo. The DeVilbiss Compact Oxygen Concentrator weighs only 37 pounds and has an outlet pressure of 8.5 psig. The DeVilbiss Compact Oxygen Concentrator is easy to move room to room, wherever the oxygen therapy patient requires. The iGo Portable Oxygen Concentrator weighs only 19 pounds and provides 3 Liters of continuous oxygen output or 2.9 Liter in pulse mode. The DeVilbiss iGo can operate up to 13,123 feet above sea level and has been approved by the FAA for travel on domestic airlines. DeVilbiss also manufactures the iFill, an Oxygen Refill Machine for oxygen cylinders or oxygen tanks. The DeVilbiss iFill allows oxygen therapy patients to refill their oxygen cylinders from the comfort of their own homes instead of depending upon a costly medical oxygen supplier.
