The polymer core of the Griffin Medical Products 28 X 36 Passport Deluxe Underpad is made to absorb a moderate amount of urine without leaking out through the underside of the underpad. The edges are surrounded by plastic to prevent fluids from getting out by being pushed to the sides as you toss and turn at night.

The Griffin Care 23 X 36 Deluxe Underpad has a spunbound top sheet, it is able to easily absorb urine as soon as it comes in contact with the top of the underpad. This design is better than other disposable underpads that offer a flat surface which may cause some fluids to run-off the pad before it has the chance to be absorbed. Made to be disposable, the underpad does not have to be carried around and washed after use, just discard and place a new one in its place.
