Covidien 397110 Curity 4 x 4 Gauze Sponge 12 Ply is a white gauze sponge meant for packing and taking care of exudating wounds of all types. The gauze material is 12-ply, heavy enough to take in high amounts of fluids from the wound bed. Each sponge is individually packed, keeping it sterile until placed on the wound site.

Each gauze sponge is 16 square inches in size and is square-shaped to optimize utility and coverage. Each packet can easily open with or without the use of gloves. Gauze Sponges are best used for medium to heavy exudating wounds and wound coverage. It is not recommended for light exudate wounds or for general wound coverage.
