The Covidien 2556 Curity™ 4 x 4 Inch Gauze Sponge 8 Ply, offers excellent absorbency to be ideal for wound prepping and cleaning or be applied as a wound dressing. It is non-sterile, packaged in bulk for an economical choice in gauze sponge.

The Curity brand, formerly known as Kendall, uses the highest quality high-grade cotton made of woven ring spun yarn. This gives it the USP Type VII seal to verify its quality with low contamination. The woven 8-ply construction gives softness and offers excellent vertical wicking needed to absorb blood and wound exudate. The sponges are also helpful in applying antibiotic ointment.
