The small size of the moisture collection container fits into most any oxygen tubing and cannula with its universal frame.

The AirLife 001861 In-Line Water Trap for Oxygen Tubing can be used by anyone who utilizes an oxygen concentrator without the need for a prescription. Keep in mind that the collection device should be used once per oxygen therapy session; this is recommended, as the buildup of moisture can become a home to bacteria, which can most likely cause respiratory issues if precautions are not followed through and sanitizing steps are not kept.

The AirLife Disposable Water Trap connects easily to your oxygen and cannula tubing. The collection device must be placed in between the oxygen tubing and the cannula for correct and optimal use. If you connect the water trap close to the concentrator output valve, there is still a length of tubing that oxygen will go through, such as those that are 14, 25, or 50 feet long; this would allow moisture to build up greatly, so this would render the water trap device ineffective if placed on the wrong end.

The moisture collection trap does not have a specific side to which the connection must be made directly on to the trap itself. Both ends are designed to fit without a problem between the cannula and oxygen tubing.
