These double-lumen tubes create an airtight seal in the trachea and one main stem bronchus to allow independent ventilation of one lung. High-volume/low-pressure polyurethane cuffs, pilot balloons and proximal lumens are color-coded to help identify bronchial and tracheal lumens.
