Allevyn Cavity Wound Dressing The Smith and Nephew Non-Adhesive Allevyn Cavity Wound Dressing is made up of highly absorbent hydrocellular foam chips covered with a non-adherent perforated wound contact layer. This unique system combined with either the circular or tubular shape allows for a moist wound environment to be maintained at all times while the Cavity Dressing is being held in place with an Opsite Dressing. The dressing can be used for moderate to high levels of exudates whil remaining highly conformable, easy to use, and quick to apply.

And like other Allevyn non-adhesive dressings the cavity dressing will not break down because of contact with exudate, effectively speeding up healing and eliminating some of the most troublesome elements of most dressings. The dressing also can be left in place for up to seven days based on the level of exudate and your doctor's recommendation. Plus, because of the comfortable cushioning design the dressings will not cause irritation after the first few days of wear.
