Adaptic Touch 5 x 6 Inch Silicone Dressing provides a thin primary dressing to most wounds and first or second degree burns. The non-adherent dressing is a protective layer that provides an extra layer of padding on the wound, as well as protecting the wound from painful dressing changes. The open mesh design allows exudate to seep through to the secondary dressing, reducing the risk of pooling and maceration of the skin. Keeping the skin healthy facilitates the healing of the wound. By pulling the exudate through the mesh, reduces granulation of the wound. This makes dressing changes less painful and traumatic.
Systagenix 500503 Adaptic Touch Non-Adherent Dressing does not use any adhesive, but it does still stay in place long enough to cover the wound with a secondary dressing without slipping. This facilitates dressing changes, making them incredibly user friendly. The open mesh design is also user friendly, allowing caregivers to view the wound without removing the silicone dressing.
