Description of Smith & Nephew Acticoat Silver Absorbent Dressing:

Acticoat Silver Absorbent Dressing provides sustained protection from external bacterial contamination. Use the Acticoat dressing as an effective antimicrobial barrier layer over partial and full-thickness wounds with moderate to heavy exudate. Meaning you can effectively treat decubitus ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, surgical wounds, first and second-degree burns, grafts, and donor sites.

The unique Silcryst Nanocrystals provide the core of the silver antimicrobial barrier and will continuously release release silver into the wound for a period of 3 days while destroying bacteria within the dressing and at the wound site.
