 Specifically designed to be less invasive, the Posey Passive Infrared (PIR) Sensor monitors temperature change when a person moves in front of the PIR beam. This infrared system is a much more accurate method of fall prevention as it reduces the chance of false alarms, a common problem with motion-sensing fall alarms. Easy to use on beds to monitor unassisted bed exits, or even on doors to monitor unauthorized entry or exit.Please note that the PIR sensor is just that, a sensor, and must be attached to a Posey Fall Alarm in order to properly monitor patients at risk for falls.
