 The Posey Clean Cuff is the strongest ankle and wrist restraint available. Made froma uniqe laminated material that outperforms standard handcuffs in strength and durability. The cuffs come pre-attached with a stainless steel swivel and a 32" long polypropylene strap. The high strength swivel design ensures safety and allows for fast application and proper cuff orientation. Available in both wrist and ankle sizes that deter tampering and self-release, and also ensures proper fit. The two sizes are also color coded for quick identification. Another great feature is that the cuffs can be easily sanitized. Please read Posey's recommendations on Cleaning and Disinfecting Synthetic Leather below. For added customer convenience, a "Crisis Kit" is also available with one pair of wrist cuffs, one pair of ankle cuffs, and a Posey Crisis Bag. Keys Included.Posey's Recommendations for Cleaning and Disinfecting Posey Leather and Synthetic Leather Cuffs: There is no universally accepted method of sterilizing leather or synthetic leather products. Traditional methods of sterilization such as autoclaving, steam, and ETO gas are not recommended for leather or synthetic leather products because these methods will disfigure the product and potentially weaken it. Sanitization (reduction of the microbial population by at least 99.9%) of synthetic leather may be achieved by entirely submerging the product in 70% isopropyl alcohol for no less than 10 minutes. For a durable, sterilizable restraint cuff alternative, we recommend the Posey E.D. Security Cuff (POS2835, POS2836). Another alternative is the Posey T-A-T Cuffs (POS2790-POS2799), which may be laundered according to CDC recommendations for linens soiled with blood or bodily fluid, or Biothane Cuffs (POS2900).
