Description of Invacare Hospital Bed Rails

Invacare's new Reduced Gap Bed Rails take the proactive approach to bed rail safety. The new designs offer added protection to traditional bed rails by closing up the open area that used to occur with the bed in the fully articulated position. All Invacare full-length bed rails now have a fourth crossbar and the crossbrace has a new mounting position on the head section of the bed. The spacing between the crossbars of the reduced gap bed rails has also been modified to reduce entrapment hazards. For your convenience, all bed rail model numbers remain the same.

Invacare Deluxe Full Length Bed Rails
Deluxe Full Length Bed Rails are constructed for heavy duty use with one inch steel that is welded at the joints. These steel rails are chrome plated for an attactive finish. No tools are required to assemble the bed rails to the cross braces. The cross braces are self adjusting and spring loaded to easily snap into place.

The Economy Full Length Bed Rail is similar to the Deluxe Full Length Bed Rail but is made of 7/8" steel rather than 1" steel. The Economy Bed Rail is chrome plated for an attractive finish just like the Deluxe version. The Economy Bed Rail is about 4 pounds less in weight.

Home Bed Rails

These adjustable bed rails stretch and contract to the needs of the individual patient and fit most single, double and queen-size beds. This bed rail is secured with a frame structure that inserts between the box springs and the mattress.

Invacare Bed Assist Rail
Assist Bed Rail is constructed of heavy duty 1 inch welded steel with a powder coated finish. The rail is adjustable to three fixed positions--Guard, Assist, Transfers. The Assist Rail has a quick release button that allows the rail to quickly and easily swing out of the way. The Bed Assist Rail provides a strudy hand hold to allow patients a firm grab to help them exit or enter the bed. Many patients find the assist rail helpful to reposition or turn-over in bed with the assistance of caregivers.
