The Sunfire General Bariatric Scooter features a Rear Wheel Drive Power Base and a comfortable Captain's Seat design. The Sunfire General is very versatile and almost endlessly adjustable. Each arm is height, width, and angle adjustable; plus the no-gap pillow headrest is height adjustable as well. And to add to your comfort, the footplates can be height adjusted and angle adjusted. The Seat back also can be reclined 45 degress using a unique "infinite position" system so that there are no jerky transitions from one angle to another. All these adjustments can be easily made at any time to make your Scooter as personalized to you as possible. The seat itself has been designed with you in mind. It features a 20" wide x 18.5" deep seat and is covered with a comfortable, healthy, ergonomic cushion.But the Sunfire General is more than a comfortable seat, a PG VR2 controller with programmable features controls the powerful dual 450W motors. Two 12V 36 amp sealed batteries are also shipped with the Sunfire for its power supply. These are housed in an attractive red, gold, or blue body motor housing that extends over two 13" x 3.5" flat free rear drive wheels and two 9" solid tire front caster wheels. To help with stability, two 5" anti tipping wheels are mounting on the rear of the scooter as well. All wheels are grey non marking and contribute to the 400 lb maximum weight capacity. As briefly mentioned above, the Sunfire General uses a rear wheel direct drive system to deliver the power and strength needed for long use. This is integrated with Electromagnetic Brakes for quick, safe, stable stopping.All these mechanical features give the Sunfire General a tight 21" turning radius and a 5-8 degree climbing angle. The motors allow for a top speed of 5 mph with the batteries supplying 23.6 miles of cruising range. The batteries can also be quickly recharged with an on-board DC24V 3A charger to help you get on the move again. All in all the Sunfire is an excellent investment for any patient looking to regain their mobility.Warranty Information: Six month warranty on battery from date of installation.
