The Sentra EC Bariatric is another of Drive Medical's innovative forays into wheelchair manufacturing. Bulit from a Carbon Steel frame and a standard Dual Axle, the Sentra EC is durable and strong. Strong enoungh, in fact, to easily transport patients up to 450 lbs. The chair rolls on standard size, Urethane tires mounted on composite wheels that provide durability and stability to movement. Plastic handrims come standard on the rear wheels 8" casters are installed on the front end that are adjustable in 3 positions. Double embossed vinyl upholstery is used for both the seat and the back. The removable arms are also covered with the same material and come in both desk length or full length styles. Specifically designed for bariatric use, the seat is 20" wide and will easily support 450 lbs. Yet the material is still lightweight, attractive, and easy to clean.For increased comfort and convienence the Sentra EC comes with plastic footplates, padded arm rests, push to lock wheel locks, and no maintenance sealed precision bearings. The wheelchair uses dual crossbraces for support and can easily be collapsed down to a 12.5" width for easy storage. And at 56.2 lbs, the chair is light enough to be lifted out of the way. The wheelchair does not come standard with front riggings.
