Enemeez Plus is a new mini enema that is a direct replacement for the discontinued Therevac Plus. It contains the same active and inactive ingredients. Enemeez Plus offers one advantage over Therevac Plus. Enemeez Plus is easier to use. Rather than having to cut them open, Enemeez Plus has a twist off top. Enemeez Plus also ships in a plastic jar which is less prone to breakage than the glass jar the Therevac Plus were contained in.

When To Use Enemeez Plus Enemas
Enemeez Plus Enemas are employed for the relief of constipation due to infrequent or difficult bowel movements. Enemeez Plus enemas penetrates and softens the stool, thereby promoting bowel movement. Enemeez Plus Enemas are indicated for dyschezia, lesions of the anus that make defactation painful, impaction associated with megacolon, anal fissure, and postoperative atresia. Enemeez Plus Enemas have been employed successfully in bedridden patients and those patients with decreased mobility in a patient group from child to adult. Enemeez Plus Enemas have also been used with acute rehabilitation patients with such diagnoses as spinal cord injuries, cerebral vascular accidents, fractures, joint replacements, and closed head injuries. In bowel management programs, Enemeez Plus Enemas help establish a more predictable bowel routine along with reducing the likelihood of bowel accidents and incontinence. Enemeez Plus Enemas also contains Benzocaine to anethetize the rectum and lower bowel; and is beneficial when an anesthetic is needed to prevent hyperreflexia crisis or painful bowel movement.
Caution
Discontinue use of Enemeez Plus Enemas if resistance is encountered. Forcing the Enemeez Plus Enema result in injury or damage to the rectum. If the Enemeez Plus Enema is not administered properly and occasional rectal examinations are not performed, serious complications can arise. Occasional rectal exams are imperative for patients with impaired rectal function, especially loss of sensation.
Precautions
Individuals with sensitivity to Benzocate should not use Enemeez Plus Enemas. If rectal irritation or a rash around the anus appears, the Enemeez Plus Enemas should be discontinued. Prolonged administration with mineral oil should be discontinued.
Warnings
Do not use laxative products such as Enemeez Plus Enemas when abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting are present nor for a period longer than one week unless directed by a doctor. If you have noticed a suden change in bowel habits while using Enemeez pLus Enemas that persists over a period of two weeks, consult a doctor before using a laxative. Rectal bleeding or failure to have a bowel movement after use of a laxative such as Enemeez Plus Enemas may indicate a serious condition, and you should discontinue use of the Enemeez Plus Enemas and consult your doctor.
