3M's Medipore Soft Cloth Surgical Tape is a latex-free, hypoallergenic surgical tape. Medipore Surgical Tape can be used to secure post-op dressings and areas that may stretch, as a retention sheeting for gauze, and securing ostomy pouches to fragile skin. For easier use, Medipore Surgical Tape is water resistant and does not curl or peel, making it a durable and reliable surgical dressing tape. Medipore Surgical Tape can be stretched diagnoally or across a wound.

To Apply Medipore Surgical Tape
Only apply Medipore Surgical Tape to clean, dry skin. All oils or emollients should be removed from the area before applying the surgical tape. Before application, prep solution should have completely dryed. If you are applying Medipore Surgical Tape to an incision, apply the surgical tape parallel to the incision. Otherwise, the tape should be placed taking any edema or movement that might take place. When applying Medipore Surgical Tape, gently, but firmly press down on the tape using your fingers.
To Remove Medipore Surgical Tape
Loosen the edges of the surgical tape by pressing your fingers near the edge of the tape. Remove the surgical tape slowly in the direction of hair growth. Keep the tape close to the surface and have the surgical tape roll back on itself. If the tape is strongly adhering to the skin, use a medical grade adhesive remover. If the hair is difficult to remove, start by pulling the upper middle part of the surgical tape and inserting a small amount of lotion underneath the surgical tape.
